I keep saying it and I'm going to say it again. That cash should have been used as dividends sent out to shareholders. Even a token amount is better than nothing.
There's a LOT of people who will not buy a non-dividend paying stock on principle and for tax purposes. Just a small dividend will open the door to many more buyers. As it stands, it's just a trading stock. There's a lot of investors out there who aren't interested in trading, they want a cash return on their capital (while waiting for some long-term growth).
A dividend will at least provide some yield crush on a falling stock.
Currently this stock could go to zero and there's no cash return whatsoever all the way down.
