now imagine if the payout is 2x that number (or higher?)...that $275mm usd is a placeholder, they said 'not less than'. lots of reasons to expect it to be marked up as we move into the arbitration process. that number does not include interest (which is significant at Libor +6%, this was the rate used in other Ghana arbitrations in recent years, this is a double digit yield amount these days, 11-12%); Shaanxi continues to mine at the site; gold prices are higher (than when that $275mm was calculated, i estimate, maybe 7-10% higher); and the co is refining a quantum analysis that could well determine more material has been taken than initially thought.
