Everyone here knows my loathing of shorts. I would however never underestimate their resolve or resources to orchestrate significant downward pressure to advantage.
I not sure I agree that they have more capital invested than actual owners who purchase shares at FULL price. Shorters do not buy shares, they borrow/rent at a fraction of the actual price. This allows them to hold large positions to influence price for the same amount of capital invested as buyers other than holders of CFD's. This is certainly to their advantage with low buy volume but as milestones are met that buy volume will increase and their advantage become a ball around their neck.
Today's is a great example of their organisational awareness to take advantage of recent events and also traders selling on news. Well played, but hard to see an end game for them. They can't just keep driving it down without holders helping by selling out. With this on time qualification what incentive do holders have to sell. Where do the shorters expect supply to come from.
Today looks more like desperation than control. Long term holders definitely are not going to get spooked, traders will just take advantage.
With today's announcement LTHolders are more confident than ever. Pissed off for sure at today's sell down but not worried in the slightest as you say. This is a company making future defining moment that now puts RRam on a course to be the world's next NVM for every device on the planet with a field of just 2 players, one a world top 10 company and the other a tiny minnow. It doesn't get much better than that.
