I'd be curious how the third-party making the fake chips would be supporting the CE players to get the chips work in their devices. Because it is not just a case of yanking out the current 2 wire analog speaker and connecting those 2 analog signal wires up to a random pick of the multiple pins on the digital speaker chip! And hey presto it all works! How do the fake chips (going along with this scenario) get used? If EM is privy to ALL the knowledge AKP has, then sure, they can inform the new third-party chip maker what to tell their customer regarding implementation. But we have been told that EM does NOT have this IP and never will. So who will have this knowledge though? Obviously AKP has to provide this to the CE players to let them be able to design a device that works, so they will eventually all have it. Ok, then the question is, is that enough knowledge for the CE players, who will then just say thanks, bye, and purchase the cheaper chips from elsewhere? Because that's a great business idea, save money on questionable chips in shiny products with the CE player's name on it. And not to mention the legal implications, as these players are not China based.
If the CE players are super dodgy, sure, they could do that. First batch of legit chips from AKP/EM, and then after once they know how it all goes together, they just get it from any backyarder, for their iPhone or Galaxy. That's how those guys do business, NOT.
So it is a safe bet the big names, just will not do that, ever. It makes no sense for any of those players to do that kind of BS. It doesn't happen for all the existing tech from other suppliers they use right now in their products. Why will it only happen for the AKP tech?
Others on this forum who continuously look for anything to paint a scary picture regarding AKP's IP and EM and China, etc, are trying to tell us, that when it comes to AKP's tech, the IP will be robbed from them, with the co-operation of the big CE players, because that is the only way that this scenario can actually occur. Well those posters can tell someone else that tale, the facts are AKP is no different to any other tech supplier to the big CE players. And the big CE players will not collude with an IP stealing Chinese bad actor.
Having said that, I have no doubt, our AKP doubters will refute all the above and simply state, you have no idea, China as massive IP thieves, AKP is ruined. Why? Because this is the last false argument these posters can now propose to induce FUD. Because no one is believes the speakers are just a myth, or an impossibility, and that AKP is a fraud etc.
