it's so simple: a normal trader (individual) can buy a min of $500 parcels of any stocks and don't have legal access to trading bots.
If anyone has access to history volume and size of parcels traded you'll see that bots were used many times and size of parcels have been as low as 10 shares per parcel!
Only brokers can use bots & trade low value parcels below $500.
On the intention of brokers: I'm a believer that brokers involvement in any company is a good thing, they even go in to make money or go in to buy on behalf of a big customer and in both cases they Don't bother themselves with small profits.
Now I've always clearly mentioned that I hold and am biased, so pls read my posts and make up ur mind!!
