Entirely different than Piedmont's ASX announcement. The announcement you have linked is not in the ASX, there was no mention of the NAL carbonate PTS from PLL on the ASX. Quite interesting.
So, as Banksy said, from Piedmont's NASDAQ announcement dated today (no mention on ASX):
"Sayona Mining and Piedmont Lithium plan to work together with technical advisors to perform a trade-off study of lithium carbonate versus lithium hydroxide production at NAL, with a definitive technical study to follow for publication sometime in 2024. Spodumene concentrate operations at NAL have been ramping up since first production in March 2023, and first commercial shipments to customers are expected in Q3 2023. "
Wow. Is this why it was released as a PTS rather than PFS, so they can release another for a hydroxide option.
Ah KP, games are now clearly being played, this is the first indication to me for some time that things may not be as harmonious in the JV as we have been told. Issues that many have alluded to here may be looking to be proven accurate by this announcement. Sayona have not once mentioned hydroxide at NAL.
Not sure what to make of this tbh. Time for bed.
