I let my emotions get the better of me a couple of days ago, which is always something to try to avoid, but sometimes one must release some gas.
Anyway, there are many factors coming together for GIP and I won't list them all again, so relax.
A couple of things I do want to mention, or repeat:
Yes, if there is such a Ta2O5 shortage looming that even Talison is eyeing developments, then WHY doesn't GIP's Abu Dabbab get the nod straight away, given that it is two years out from production, and can produce profitably, we are told at a price about half what talison is demanding; two years being a figure that I anticipate will prove to be totally unrealistic, btw, viewed in it's historical context; that's not intended as a snide remark, just a realistic view of the facts so far.
Also, this stuff, important as it is, about the outrages in the Congo is worrying, from a detached point of view, because it shows two things to me, firstly, that there is no shortage of Ta2O5, it's just that right now a major source of it is politically/socially unacceptable and, secondly, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't recall ANY mention of DRC until quite recently (recently in Gippsland terms) originally it was not promoted as being anyone's saviour, it was just another mining proposition.
Whatever, my musings won't alter anything. We now enter a new financial year and so with a clean(ish) slate let's move forward with renewed hope for the future of Gippsland and its holders.
