more on the subject of clean water... rwd hasn't quantified the amount of good quality water they need for the final stages of the new process, they dont even mention it, you can only assume from the diagrams of the process (they indicate a bore water input)...but if it was anything like the water needs for the new "direct lithium extraction" process from brines, it could be a need for up to 60t of potable water for 1t of clean product at the end.

a concern would be that they are fixing one environmental problem (eliminating the need for 100's of square kilometres of evaporation ponds), and creating a bigger problem...the use of scarce potable water...as said i dont know how much clean water they need for the new process, or even if it's available close to the lake but it's a question that should be asked now. (i wonder if a clean water aquifer was a side agenda in the officer basin drilling).

the "direct lithium extraction" processes are still in the experimental stages the same as rwd's process... the reduction of water consumption and the use of brackish water is an ongoing subject of experiment, but dont expect a full explanation from rwd, unless someone asks the questions.

sorry to be alarmist but if people in the know dont tell you what you need to know and you have to use your imagination to fill in the blanks... and... get it wrong... that's not my problem, it's only my opinion and not investment advice.
