I took advantage of this morning's selling to take a position for the germanium project in Austria. Low sovereign risk. Think there should be renewed interest in the prospect following the announcement in the last 24 hours that China is capping germanium exports. Doesn't seem to be a lot of ASX-listed germanium/gallium miners. Market hasn't cottoned on yet.

CNN: "Beijing will impose export controls on two rare elements essential for manufacturing semiconductors, in apparent retaliation after the United States and Europe restricted chip exports to China.
"Gallium and germanium will be subject to export controls starting August 1 'to protect national security and interests,' China’s Ministry of Commerce said in a statement Monday.
"Exporters of these raw materials will need to apply for 'special permission from the state' to ship them out the country, the statement said."
