@Process1 this post is not directed at you as I realise you understand the niceties on how that data is reported.

I have seen this posted quite often, and whilst it is factually correct it actually masks some telling errors on how some may use it, noting in the past I have read posts in various stocks that lithium prices can stay very very high because it is not a large component part in a battery (which would be an incorrect view btw).

Take graphite, despite it having a large share in a battery its input cost is actually significantly less than the input cost of lithium in that battery. Be mindful, lithium in the above is also reported as a metal, so you need to times that 6kg by 5.3 to get to LCE feedstock and then times that by 7.5 to get to spodumene concentrate feedstock to produce the LCE. Whilst I haven't done this exercise in terms of the respective input cost of each element in a batterry, I have done it in the past for graphite and lithium.

    1. Input cost of lithium in batteries: Post #:66330003 This post explains how much value lithium has in a battery.

    2. Input cost of graphite in batteries:
Post #:66724229andPost #:66719548 These posts do the apple to apple conversions so one can understand the input cost of graphite in batteries, compared to lithium. It is much lower than lithium.

    All IMO
