It seems you have misunderstood the recent announcement. SRL does not intend to become a battery maker. And there will be no "Sunrise Battery".

I asked the company for clarification a while ago and here is a little extract from the response:

"[Sunrise] will provide chemical feedstock into cathode production, and the purpose of the R&D program was to identify how to optimise that feedstock to improve cathode performance."

and

"[..] what the R&D results suggest is that there are some elements that can provide a large uplift for battery performance."

So @kitamiel is right.

As said before: this a wise step, a good development and will support our negotiations with potential clients imo. I understand your frustration @Longstory but it is time for a bit more positive thinking (better for your health anyway).
