Interestingly I have been contacted by a research firm to join a focus group at 8.00 PM tonight to gain a better understanding of shareholder (Retail) views.
I am interested to hear what others think, but my thoughts are that the Board lacks engagement with the Public / Govt
Buybacks are a waste of money, either expand the business with good acquisitions Like buying BHP mines which are up for sale at about 2X multiple , or give me back the money as a franked dividend so that I can invest as I think fit.
WHC employs a lot of people, however the Taxes paid are twice the Labour costs.
Australians enjoy these taxes by way of an artificially high lifestyle, however do not appreciate that it mostly comes from mining and resources.
