Azure Minerals has been granted a new Exploration Licence (EL) E47/4700, expanding their lithium-rich Andover tenement. This addition means Azure’s tenements now fully cover all identified pegmatites in the Andover district (Page 1).
The company is intensifying lithium-focused drilling operations with two diamond core rigs and three reverse circulation (RC) rigs, and a third diamond rig is on its way. Infill drilling is set to commence soon, marking a crucial step towards the maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (Page 1).
Azure has initiated a metallurgical testwork program for lithium extraction, indicating progress towards production. This program is expected to be completed in about three months (Page 2).
The company has submitted four Miscellaneous Licence applications for groundwater search, with the grant expected later this year. All tenements granted or applied for are included in the Heritage Protection Agreement with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation, demonstrating Azure's commitment to responsible operations (Page 1).
The Andover Project now comprises two granted ELs covering 102km2, with a third EL application expected to be granted later this year.
