Hi wazzie. The share price rise today makes me wonder if shorters might be starting to run out of ammo and what they might be thinking. With all the expected announcements by Weebit, it could be a nervous time for them.
Of course, they have some choices. For the early movers amongst them, they could think about buying and returning the borrowed shares while enjoying a profit and maybe buying even more and joining the longs. Or they could borrow more shares and add to their shorts and try to keep the share price down, which has worked for them so far. Or they could do nothing and just kick the can down the road and perhaps watch their potential profit vaporise.
I know what I would do, but I'm not giving advice because I'm not qualified to do so.
