Gates my post which kicked off the debate of if PCL was the subject of a hostile takeover by a Super Major was just a time waster speculation question. What surprised me is how many just dismissed the possibility with the WDS is God mantra. Your statement "Even if a third party bought out PCL at enormous profits to holders, the contract with WDS still stands" does not hold water until WDS executes the option. Until that day little PCL is still majority holder of a hotspot PEL and a free agent. As for the comments of others "WDS lawyers know how to draw up a contract" that maybe so but lets put WDS in perspective.

WDS amounts to a pimple on the arse of a Southern Right Whale when mixing with the Super majors and if a Super Major wanted in I'm sure that the legal teams of these Whales would find a way and if forking out for some more or all 3D surveys (as sure as hell they would have some insights on what's come of the Titan from sources close to the matter) was part of it then $35M is lunch money for these whales.
Yes I'm speculating but if the prize is big enough then getting dirty is just business and the oil business is a dirty game.
Ultimately us SH hopefully prosper.
