PharmaNet Group Ltd (ASX PNO) today announced the formation of the Medical Advisory Team, which will oversee the medical, scientific and regulatory activities of the pharmaceutical subsidiary, Molecular Pharmacology Limited (MPL). PNO recently announced the discovery of the fast acting analgesic compound Tripeptofen.

The Medical Advisory Team will advise MPL as it works through human trials and regulatory approval.

DR MAUD EIJKENBOOM
Dr Eijkenboom is a consulting neuroscientist specialising in chronic neuropathic and inflammatory pain. She brings 8 years of expertise managing preclinical studies in animals and clinical development aspects for Bayer Healthcare of Germany.

DR CHRIS QUIRK
Dr Quirk is an Australian dermatologist who has been a teaching hospital consultant for 21 years and has conducted numerous trials for international pharmaceutical companies such as Roche, Novartis, 3M and Matrix and has served on advisory boards for Merck,
Allergan and Roche.

DR JOHN SNOWDEN
Dr Snowden is the team’s head peptide scientist and is a specialist in the extraction of valuable biomaterials. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry and has held research fellow positions at the Imperial College, University of London, Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital and at the, John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University.
