There is no intention of implementing any of this "offshore" policy by the present Govt. either in Timor or NZ - the policy statement today is a very good attempt at quieting debate on the matter in the run up to the election, an attempt which will probably work well given the expectation of most Australians that leaders of their country display an inherent honesty.
