Yes good description @TOTHEMOON - oppies can be tricky esp at this end of the market in exploration because the company needs a success or two and good market sentiment to drive the price up so you can either sell them or it makes sense to convert.

There's a fairly long lead time on the GMNO (about 2 1/2 yrs) so I'm hoping to see some movement in the next 18mths. They're hard to sell though, if not impossible, closer to expiry if the heads aren't high enough - and that happens more often than not

On one company (when I was learning share trading) I actually converted oppies so I didn't realize the loss (even though I could've got more heads at the time for the money lol) and later the heads eventually went up n I sold at a slight profit (but could've been trapped And there was another one where I lost it all and let them lapse (thankfully I'd learnt by then So good (hard) lessons esp when it's your own money.

So here I've got 10M GMNO @$0.0016 so a good gamble for $16k. It's all about share price action and timing - if the share price is solid and well over the conversion price (with positive prospects to keep going and not a pump), I can either sell the oppies (just trade them) or try and find $100k to convert. If they're very liquid (able to be sold easily because they're well in the money) I could sell some of them (oppies or heads if they've had a good run) to pay for converting the rest.

With LRS I had a bucket load of oppies so by expiry date, the heads were way way higher than 1.2c (their conversion price at the time - all conversion prices are different) and had prospects of going higher so I scrounged around and paid from other cash sources (so I kept all my heads and converted all oppies without selling anything) - it pushed me to my limit but the move paid off (phew lol

So there are a range of choices with oppies if the company does well but very limited and high risk of losing it if the company doesn't do well (esp with exploration minnows and oppies) - I'm all in though on GMN with also 10M heads so am very keen to see more share appreciation (like all of us lol

IMO NFA (just sharing my story to help) - good luck to everyone - maybe a Friday run eh!! lol
