Open hole testing is rare and normally only preformed when its an unexpected zone or resivour encountered.
They will drill/core and log toTD.
Logs will tell them where to perforate for the best potential flow results results
Normally start from the bottom and work up.
So perforate zone 3, test it, once test is completed set a plug, perforate 2, test it, set plug and so forth
Sliding sleeves can be incorporated in completions to help in this type of multiple production resivours
