    It continues to disappoint me how so few nations understand that it’s the PROCESSING and REFINING into the specific metals and compounds that are needed by virtually ALL modern high tech products where the strategic problem is. Ie NOT more mined mined raw material!
    Nearly all political and industry leaders who continually wring their hands over China’s near monopoly over REs seem abysmally ignorant about the very high capital costs, and their national lack of the intellectual property, needed to produce the critically-needed RE products.
    I’m referring to the US, UK and EU; Japan certainly fully understands the real issues.
    I suspect that an obstacle to Washington’s announced wish to build high-end RE processing in America may be that the Lynas Board won’t part with the OUR hard-won IP that’s otherwise unavailable outside China. And I’d fully support that!
    IMO there are too many ‘wannabe’ mining companies dominating the investment media, mostly with nothing to offer like the quality and quantity of Lynas’s Mount Weld mine…
