There’s no doubt in my mind about his passion or drive, but it’s hard for me to ignore the red flags in my mind when he put on the salesman hat with arms flapping about like Trump, and using terms like “cash elephant” and rehashing terms coined earlier like “small steps faster” or something like that.
At this stage of the journey where I have invested a significant amount and topped up consistently over the last 12 or so months, I shouldn’t need a sales pitch. Whenever I feel I’m being sold something the defences in my mind are alerted….keeping in mind this was an egm for existing shareholders and not a new investor spruik.
I consider myself a good reader of people with a high degree of accuracy, and I’m not going to draw conclusions on this but safe to say I’m a bit concerned with my observations of body language. Perhaps all is well on ship Sayona but he felt the need to put an extra dollop of maple syrup to take away some of the bitter taste of shareholder disapproval of dishing out freebie shares. Perhaps.
I’m not cross promoting, and quite frankly the 2 companies I’m about to mention certainly don’t need any support, they are flying. When I watch Dale of PLS or Tony from LTR conduct a company meeting it really is chalk and cheese compared to this at times amateurish meeting by SYA.
