It was a stupid plan from the start, even if we were going to host the games, trying to run them in regional centres was going to see such ridiculous waste that no sensible person would have even considered the idea. For example, they were going to build several swimming pools near Geelong and then after the games rip them back out.

The Commonwealth Games are a joke anyway, we shouldn't have considered hosting them at all
