You may misinterpret what I just wrote? the 50% to 60% I was referring was the efficiencies they can possibly rachieve, using up down conversion, I didn't phrase that very well in the context in which I wrote it.
But you can see why they wasn't this, and remember that when they use this in a solar concentrator, the efficiency gains they get in the first place are multiplied by the number of reflectors (mirrors)that is why the first stage, this collaboration with UNSW and Suntech is so important to the final result.
