Yours is a good nick for someone talking about movies and market crashes.
A check on IMDB shows both the 1929 & 87 Wall Street movies being released just after the market crashes. So that would make it a trailing indicator.
According to IMDB Wall Street 2 is to be released on 23 September 2010 SOOO ... an 81 year anniversary on 3 Sep would work for the crash before the movie release.
