Why would you schedule the charge from 6PM? You can plug it in schedule it for off peak which is between 10PM and 6AM/8AM the next morning at a measley 25c/kWh. This was 13c/kWH before the hikes but still very affordable. Level 2 charger gets you 7kWh on single phase or 11kWh on three phase set ups. Even if you've almost used all the battery you'd wake up with a near full battery every morning just by charging off peak.
