Over the weekend I was at a couple of events sitting politely in the audience. Speakers inflicted their "welcome to country" nonsense on me and the rest of the audiences. I was born here so am offended this implication that I am a lesser Australian.
I didn't want to accept this insult, by sitting quietly and politely accepting this BS I am condoning it.
How does one politely but clearly indicate non acceptance of the insult. I am too polite to Boo.
Perhaps we need a clear symbol like placing our hands on our heads. The sign of captives given by a captive audience?
This would work on Qantas too.
