Nobody knows what's going on, but SPX has a terrible track record when it comes to price manipulation. For all anyone knows it could be an investor who bought a stack of heads @ 0.8c and is driving the price of the heads up by purchasing the oppies and creating the illusion that something big is happening. They lose the 0.1c on the oppies but gain 0.3c on the heads.
