A few dollars of brokerage here or there is not worth it, to follow the latest lowest cost offering.
But a $50 difference per trade (eg. Commsec vs Selfwealth on largish trades) is worth the saving.
In the case where a few dollars is not that significant, it would come down to platform preference instead of lowest cost.
