@JimNifty, we are of like minds on this, the announcement leaves us completely in the dark. It may be they did assay these spod crystals and if highly weathered, very likely given these are surface rock chips, any Lithium present may have leached out already. if exposed for millenia. Certainly rock chips can show high Li contents as we see with some explorers but the question is, what is the extent of weathering of the sampled surface rocks in our case. Again we are left totally in the dark. The ASX should request as it sometimes does a follow-up qualifying announcement to provide more information on the nature of the rocks, ie, heavily weathered ( oxidized) , lightly weathered, or not weathered. Just a pathetic lack of contextual information in todays announcement.
