Not at all - the aim was to ensure the full value of bisantrene is extracted. Bisantrene has at least three independent clinical uses - a traditional chemotherapeutic (not a very good one), a FTO inhibitor, and an anticancer cardioprotective agent.
Only the first one these has any clinical data and unfortunately as the Old Kingdom Race found out, very little value. The other two need to be proved in the clinic AND they need a formulation that can be delivered via a peripheral vein. There was zero pottering around before I left and 100% focus on achieving the best outcome for shareholders in the shortest time at the lowest cost possible.
Rushing the process will not deliver 50x returns, it is likely to deliver 0.1x returns at best and 0x returns in the most likely case.
