The yield on CSL will depend on it's earnings and payout ratio. The capital value will depend on earnings, growth of those earnings, competition, interest rates, inflation, cost of goods, value of the USD, the performance of the sector & markets its in, investor sentiment, the amount of money going into ASX index funds, the list goes on.
Warren Buffett's former daughter in law Mary described his valuation methods in 'The Warren Buffet Way'. He places zero weight on unknowns. The only thing he really considers is how long it will take to pay back his investment. In the case of CSL that is infinity because there is no capital growth and the dividend is far lower than inflation. That's probably why Berkshire Hathaway has never owned a single CSL share,
