@daicosisgod; 4YI some of my uncles were 'woodcutters' who used to supply the boilers of local hospitals. Two of them later joined Vic Forests to oversee the management of regional plantation forests.

In my much younger days yours truly even harvested wood for regional fuel supplies. I've taught in regional areas that have timber mills and have a home whose frame is KDH.

I've stated many times on this forum that I believe in environmentally sustainable land use practices - the reports you downplayed demonstrated that Vic Forests fouled its own nest and unsustainably so.

Consistent with recent evaluative reports it's my assessment that Vic Forests has degenerated into a $Loss making and less than environmentally responsible venture ... it doesn't make business sense any more!

I note that you've chosen to ignore the Victorian Government's undertaking to assist those whose jobs will be lost. You've also chosen to ignore the ecotourism opportunities and improved water resources that will flourish once natural environments are allowed to recover.
