It was a par 5 dog leg right, oblivion to the right, small reedy dam in the distance on the left, rising gently for about 180m, then falling gently for about 70m and then flat … my drive was smack down the middle, cleared the rise with some ease, probably landed on the gentle fall so as to not hinder the further roll, and probably had a 5-10 km/hr tail wind assist. Yes these fairways are at the harder end of the scale. I have a tendency to slice when trying to hit a long drive, but lately when addressing the ball I have been deliberately closing the face ever so slightly and nudging my wrists forward ever so slightly, to good effect … made a mess at the green and got a bogey.

Back to business, good US PCE reports out last night showing inflation continuing to fall meaningfully, obviously calmed market nerves from the previous session when strong jobs and GDP spooked investors into worrying about more interest rate rises and high interest rates for longer … subject to IO pricing and $Aus moves, Monday should see FMG bounce strongly imo.
