I see this as more a State cost trimming exercise in the light of dwindling gas reserves available to Victoria : allow existing consumers to chew through the remaining proven local reserves and save on new capex for new pipelines and LNG regassification. Note that Dorado has big reserves of LPGs.

Note that anyone in Victoria wanting to hook up to LPG bottles may do so… makes a hypocritical mockery of the woke excuse about CO2 emissions…. Think of the extra transport emissions for a start, let alone the additional CO2 emissions per unit of energy.
