More positive news…
That mighty APA NGI pipeline is finished ahead of schedule ….
Next on the agenda the 152 (or is it 172) kilometre spur to be built, running from the NGI up to the MTMP TMT project?
I wonder if anyone else has booked spurs?
TMT first entered an MOU with APA back in 2020 and the pipeline was confirmed in June last year*

New Mid West gas pipeline ‘the missing link’ in WA

APA has described a new $460 million gas pipeline across WA’s Mid West as “the missing link” that will help meet demand from decarbonising miners and enable accelerated development of the Perth Basin.
The group’s 580km Northern Goldfields Interconnect links WA’s mainstay Dampier to Bunbury pipeline to the other major north-south carrier, the Goldfields Gas Pipeline, providing more gas to mining customers near the route and in the Goldfields.
APA chief executive Adam Watson said the NGI was “the missing link for gas infrastructure in WA”, creating an interconnected pipeline network over 2690km from north to south and west to east.
The line is well timed, positioning APA to take advantage of the increased interest in the Perth Basin’s gas fields as Mineral Resources, Strike Energy and Gina Rinehart’s Hancock Prospecting advance plans to exploit discoveries in the region via new processing plants.
Mr Watson said APA was “investing ahead of demand”, but was confident that “the customers will take the volume that we need to make it viable for us”.
“But you are going to need the gas infrastructure there all of the time, because we can’t control the weather, we can’t control when the sun’s not shining, and you will need to therefore fire up a gas-fired generator,” he said.
“So we want to ensure that we’re building out our footprint for our customers and for the community in a way that provides reliability for the energy supply.”
The NGI pipeline runs between Ambania, 50km east of Geraldton, and connects to the Goldfields Gas Pipeline about 40km south of Leinster.

The spur will support other projects in the region (does that mean there might be a grant for that too, along with any others TMT might be in line for?)
