Giddyup, I agree entirely they should have done this a long time ago. Can't undersand why they didn't do it back in march when it must have started to become clear that the GEM deal was not working.
As regards the price, I think .01 plus an option at .015 is reasonably fair in the circumstances.
IMO, the sp has been kept down at .01 by one or two parties playing games. Just look at the way the sells have been structured with a large sell of around a couple of million (once 8,000,000) coming in every day on top of all the others then being withdrawn at the end of the day. What does this mean? It means that a party or parties want to keep a lid on the price without actually selling any of their shares! They withdraw the bid at the end of each day so other can stick in their sells at .01, then come in again the next day behind them. There was no reality that these were going to sell, it was just putting a stopper on the market so someone can pick up people pulling out at .009... so .01 is actually not that unrealistic a price. If they had made it lower, it would just drive the market down further once again. The incentive to take up the issue is the option.
However, it remains to be seen whether many of the long suffering browbeaten long term holders will take the issues up. IMO, the board should have made the options more attractive, something like 2 or 3 options per share to provide a higehr incentive to participate. Maybe they are quietly confident that one or two of the larger holders are going to take up their entitlements anyway?
In regards to the sp, one day, maybe not too far away once this new issue is out the way, it is not unlikely that the parties playing to keep the sp down recently may start to play the other way, perhaps after a good announcement is made. IMO MST is getting set up for classic pump and dump territory. So watch out. There may be some good ops for trading but be careful you don't get caught.
In the meantime, I think the one for four at.01 issue plus option is not a bad deal given the circumstances - if you are not just so fed up with this company to bother and have any money left to spare!
Good luck!
