If you think about it, it's a smart move by the company.
They have the shares cocked, locked and ready to go. Could be used to payout all debt easily, or as part of a partnership deal / royalty funding relationship, or even for a larger agreement with financiers to initiate multiple trial indications at once. Like CLPB and GvHD in adults.
