From Dana:- The northern area of Mauritania, the Block 7 PSC has been extended into its second exploration period following discovery of the Pelican Field, where gas in place of 1 trillion cubic feet is now calculated. Extensive technical analysis of the area around Pelican has identified significant stratigraphic upside and the possibility of oil up-dip and INSHORE (my upper case)of Pelican, Extending into an area without 3D seismic coverage. Further 3D data is planned to delineate additional prospects before finalising the next drilling location.
