Yeah my brother used to live in the same street where I'm pretty sure it was ERM had their base with all their gear etc. We used to see them going out with the drill rig.
In fact I think the property which has now been sold used to back onto one of MDI's tenements. Any not the greatest place to live and I was just visiting for half a year but wonderful area geological wise. Walked down all those old gold mines. Lots of old arsenic rusted out old baths around and some wonderful rocks around.
The only other area that was more fascinating geology wise was Barrow Creek. That was an amazing area.
We went all the way out to the old Warrego mine where there was an entire camp still set up but no one was there. Old core sheds and everything. Middle of nowhere but amazing and beautiful area in its own right. Plenty of never never land out there but plenty of gold and copper to find also!
