First problem is that if Trump is the GOP candidate he will not win the 2024 election so the idea of a self pardon is mute.

If Trump was smart he would back some one else, with the support of Trump supporters that some one else stands a chance of winning in 2024.

Now if you like the idea of a president being allowed to give himself a self pardon, keep in mind that Biden is POTUS and in your view he should be allowed a self pardon.
