I was familiar with Kamoa-Kakula and knew what the Ann meant when it came out. All of the characteristics are there, the zoning between Chalcopyrite, Bornite and Chalcocite, the concentration of grade at the bottom of the intersect, the occurrence of native copper below the chalcocite, the highest grade in hole 2 being coincident with a silty, previously pyrite rich horizon etc etc.
Its all there at storm.
Ultimately, they need to find what the local controls on mineralisation are. Certainly the hydrocarbon rich dolomite is providing ample sulphur and a reductant in the form of the hydrocarbons but they need to hunt down something even better and thicker. Perfect scenario would involve a structure hitting that silty horizon where it has more thickness and is loaded with pyrite. these are the sort of conditions that provide the sort of intersects where you see 10-20 m at 20-40% Cu.
cheers
