ANZ will continue to pursue the deal in the short term through a tribunal appeal so still possible for Sun bank merge to occur but looking less likely. Same reasons for ACCC rejection of SUN deal might emerge if ANZ went after BOQ. It's likely that BEN will get SUN Bank if ANZ gets turned back at Tribunal. I think BOQ will be polished up for either a takeover or merger over the next 18 months under the guess of the improved risk management plan. Plenty of mid-tiers to link up with. IMO.
