I saw this tweet. It's fake news. Burkina Faso govt purchased 200kg of gold from a miner, in February, and did NOT kick them out.
They have contract to purchase gold directly from miners in 'extraordinary' circumstances. They paid spot price.
The real concern is what they urgently need 200kg of gold for.
