As a regular watcher ( as both long term holder and trader), I couldn't see any situation where the buyback broker would tamper with the price as there's no advantage to them. It can however, seem like the price is manipulated as it can sometimes follow a regular pattern in a trading range, enough for me to sometimes trade aggressively in order to get my average cost down. It's well worth noting the market depth at different times just before,and just after open, where you will see the algo orders come in. If I think of it next week, I will get a few screenshots. In short, the stack is inhabited by algo's, or " bots" but I don't see anything that could be called manipulation.
As far as the future SP goes....anyone's guess. If interest rates continue to rise or stay high for too long then the effect will be harmful to us. Also, worth considering is whether the regions are hit with El Nino conditions in spring/summer.
As for regional economy's, they still appear good, (especially the Mudgee region).
The risk for us is probably the residential development side, commercial development may be more robust and the quarrying side should be quite robust.
I have a relative working for Regional Quarries and a friend in an earthmoving subsidiary....I note their views on things from the " frontline", which recently experienced a small pullback, most likely a small directive to control things, a good thing actually, related in a way to some here who wanted to see a little time for consolidation and bedding in of acquisitions.
As an investor, I'm looking closely at topping up given the price has eased a bit, but, weighing up the dilemma of whether to buy so close to results.

Separately, I'm also hoping the board will resume " open" AGM's, given the last 2 weren't open for attendance
