@OldGeo - Perhaps you know (or can answer this, as no one else has so far): When they did the wirelines on U1B and U2, to my understanding they would have also done U3 at the same time. On Friday they releases the U1 and U2 results, but not the U3 results. They simply used the term “good quality results” and did not specifically mention U3. They have now confirmed that they are casing and will commence drill stem tests over the coming week.
I assume that this means that they will be perforating each zone as it is isolated from U3, U2, then U1 in that order (bottom up). The expectation is therefore that we will see U3 DST results first, and there are a range of “expected dates” that I have read on this forum.
So: a couple of questions that I would like to hear your opinion on:
1. Why have they not released the U3 wireline logs? They released U1 and U2 and noted that testing has been completed over the Amistad interval, so why did they not specifically call out U3 results?
2. They confirmed that casing has been run, so I am assuming that they are ready for DST to commence on U3. Is that a correct assumption, and when do you think we will get some results? I am not a geo (you probably already guessed that!) but from what I can tell, once the BHA is in place the flow tests are over two sessions, the first being around 1 hour, and the second about 2+ hours (exact timing may vary depending on various factors). Once the DST device is retrieved from the drill bit the flow and pressure results can be reviewed immediately whilst the (oil) quality results take some time (lab work). Is that correct?
Would appreciate some clarification and your thoughts on the U3 wirelines and the timeframes for the DST.
(Apols for the naive questions - but I would rather ask than pretend I know).

Kit.They core/drill and log each section as you drill down, they don't drill the whole well and then log ( if theres only 1 zone then yes, they TD the log)
