Can,if you want to pay for my time. $120/hr.
But a quick look without fancy graphics: All prices in $US. Dec 4 20 (bottom) $11.26 bbl. May 5 2020 $20.00, Jun 9 2022 $121.51 bbl (Peak) 1.6 23 $71.74 bbl. So, both up by 6x in same period, to peak, then down to a bit over half in the second decline leg.
Newcastle coal (Energy) : same dates, $55, $52, $310, $166 /ton.
Do your own homework. I'm going on what I read in the international business media.
I listen to knockers. Sometimes they know more in some things. Often not. That little exercise you prompted me to look at, was worth it. The movements are almost identical! Worth remembering. So if oil prices are rising, as they are now, quite a bit. Expect the same in energy coal, based on that. The Ukraine thing is far from over yet.
