sorry not getting back to you about that posting - I might have had a life ban on HC if I had responded.

Anyways, I emailed the investor centre today and got a prompt response.
below is a quote from the return email-

"Thank you for your email. In answer to your concerns and questions:-

1. You're right ? there has been no news flow since the last quarterly, but that is because we report only on significant matters (not just steady progress, which is ongoing).
2. The director resignation was in fact that of the alternate director (Jyn Sim Baker) to Gerrit de Nys, who is the IMC representative of Horizon Oil?s board. Jyn?s resignation was triggered by her ceasing to be an employee of IMC. It is not a matter of any great moment.
3. The ceasing to be a substantial shareholder matter to which you refer is presumably the reported sale by a Hong Kong fund of 53 million shares. In fact those shares were transferred to an intermediary and the fund continues to hold the beneficial interest.
4. The next quarterly report will be filed on or before 31 July 2010.
5. I?m not aware of any serious shorting of the stock by institutions. If you have any further information on this subject, I?ll ask someone to follow up on it, if you wish.

I hope this answers your queries. We continue to make good progress on our projects in NZ, China and PNG and will report on the key achievements as they occur. I think shareholders can see the results at Maari, which is on production and I expect that we will make an announcement on the Block 22/12 development in the coming quarter. We?ll also advise drilling results in PNG in Q4.
