Livent's Fenix project at Hombre Muerto produces lithium carbonate and a small quantity of lithium chloride, which is later refined at their Guemes industrial park near Salta City. Most of the lithium chloride they produce goes on to be refined into high purity lithium metal and butyllithium (by Livent).
