As a Canadian, I was incredibly surprised to see yesterday's Australian investor reaction to the latest news release. The stock price went down, not up? Crazy!!!! This is a potentially MASSIVE sediment-hosted copper system. The comparisons most Canadians are making, if they're going to make one, is to Ivanhoe's world-class giant Kamoa and Kakula projects in the DRC. If you are not familiar with those, look them up for an interesting read. In fact, one of the original geologists on the property, David Broughton, led the team that discovered Ivanhoe's Kamoa and Kakula. And while Somerset Island in Nunavut is remote, the property is close to shipping lanes open for part of the year (the Northwest Passage), plus it should be easy to permit given that no one lives there, there is no vegetation to speak of, it's flat, and there are is very little wildlife. A mining company's dream!. Just more than a little chilly is all, but as an arctic desert, they don't even get much snow. Just wanted to help paint a picture of the place, since it might be hard to picture from the other side of the Earth.
