I think both Cupet and Sonangol would quite happily have chosen to pursue an appraisal versus a wildgoose. Intelligent humans are capable of changing plans, and quickly. Are you familiar with AP's justification? I suspect not. The rig was on the pad, so you are saying decamping , moving and then recamping to the same spot costing 1 month is better than changing plans. in any event the outcome speaks for itself. 16 months later we are back for groundhog day 2. Thats clever, aint it.
